Why we’re in Iraq
(Whether you believe it or not)

Let me get started off by saying the far left media has misjudged and explained this war in so many wrong ways. They have lead many people all over the world to believe that we’re in Iraq for all the wrong reasons. Other countries doubt the U.S., and are beginning to hate us. You could blame this all on President Bush Jr., or you could read on and understand what is happening and why it is happening.

On September 11th, 2001, the United States was attacked by a ruthless, un-human evil. We were taken by surprise by an enemy that is too cowardly to deal with what they did. Thousands of people died that day, all because of a cowardly group. Bush was blamed for the attacks; people said he could have prevented something that already happened. Whether he could have prevented the attacks or not, it happened, and it probably wouldn’t have mattered if we had a different President.

Seven days after the attacks, the Invasion of Afghanistan was declared. Terrorist’s camps were destroyed. The search for the “leader” of the attacks, Osama Bin Laden, was underway. We were not going to let the cowards responsible for the attacks get off easily. Osama has yet to be found, but we’re not giving up.

On October 16, 2002, Operation Iraqi Freedom was declared. There were sources stating that Saddam Hussein had links to the 9/11 attacks. Incase you didn’t know, those sources weren’t just the CIA, but other countries too. If any President were to ignore those claims, he or she wouldn’t be doing what they were elected to do. Now if Mr. Bush was to ignore those claims, and we were attacked again, guess who gets the blame once again. In a War on Terrorism, you don’t take chances, if there are sources pointing towards a country that could be linked to terrorism, you go after them.

There are three main reasons we went into Iraq, WMD’s, possible linking to terrorism, and to liberate the Iraqi people from a harsh dictator. Now when you hear anyone say there were no WMD’s in Iraq and we shouldn’t be there, remember that wasn’t the only reason we went into Iraq. Saddam Hussein tortured his people; they didn’t have the privilege of having rights. They were under a dictatorship that didn’t allow rights.

When you watch the news, you hear about all these road side bombings and our soldiers dieing. But what you don’t hear about is all the schools our soldiers have made for the Iraqi children. People can freely vote for whom they want to, woman can now vote! Iraqi’s now have freedoms; they shouldn’t have been deprived of them under the rule of Saddam. If you object to the War, you’re objecting to giving the Iraqi people freedom. You’re objecting to democracy. What do you think our Soldier’s in Iraq want to hear? I can sure tell you they don’t want to hear that we’re saying the Iraqi people don’t want us here. Especially when our Soldiers are being thanked everyday by Iraqi people, and being told they appreciate everything they’re doing for them.

You hear a lot of the negative things happening in Iraq, but you rarely hear the good actions. I’ve meat many soldiers that have come back from Iraq, they are proud of what we’re doing in Iraq. But you know what they’re tired of hearing? That we’re not welcomed in Iraq by our own people.

If you oppose the war, you oppose what every human in the world should have; freedom. Don’t say you think there should be world democracy, but you’re opposing the War in Iraq. There wouldn’t be freedom in Iraq right now if it wasn’t for the U.S.

Fix the second to the last paragraph. You typed "I've meat many soldiers..." It should be "I've met many soldiers..." You could go on in your article stating what a mistake it would be to pull all troops out now as many on the left want to do. We have made great progress in Iraq but if we pull out now the country will crumble under civil war until another ruthless dictator gains control through strength, fear, and mass murder. We won the war in Germany and Japan and we still have forces in those countries. They no longer need to keep the peace but those countries became stable because there was a stabilizing force in place while they recovered.

Iraq was more safe before we went there. We invaded and now theres chaos.

You're an idiot if you think us invading them and taking over their daily life is giving them freedom.

Good!!!
